One Race. The Human Race.

Hello!!! It's been a while since I posted anything (happy new year btw 2017 woo)... but lately I've been coming across articles about someone being racist to someone else, and every time I come across these kinds of articles, my blood stirs. There are 2 specific events that happened that stood out to me most because I felt a connection. 

The first one was a Filipino man being insulted by his next door neighbour. Instead of the usual insults about ones physical image, the woman insulted his culture. 
Saying words such as:
"Go back to where you came from!" "From some piece of sh*t Manila a*s f*cking ghetto living under a f*cking tarp piece of sh*t land" "You're too busy in there populating the world with more of your trashy people, so go in there and make some more mother f*cking babies" "You guys can blow up more fireworks like you've never seen fire before cause you're so f*cking stupid you're like orange savages. Like you've never seen anything before. You're just like one generation out of the jungle" "F*cking coming to America sucking up our f*cking resources and this and that"
By the way, I am full Filipino that grew up in Toronto, Canada, and seeing what this lady says makes me super angry. 
This argument started from cleaning up leaves and the lady went out of her house with her broom and went off. Throughout the years living next to each other, they never got along. Dexter, the victim, admits he's not the perfect neighbour but believes it wasn't right to attack his whole culture and offend the Filipino community over a little thing. She later apologized to the Filipino community, and said that she wasn't trying to direct it to any race but towards her neighbour. She admits that what she said wasn't right and she wasn't raised that way.

I agree with Dexter. Just because Dexter messed up and didn't clean his yard the way his neighbour wanted, it doesn't mean she has to attack a whole body of people over a small thing. I understand when people say things on accident when they're very mad, but it kinda went too far... we're not orange LOL. But because she apologized hopefully she truly meant it and will learn from this for the future, and hopefully other people will learn from this too.

The next event I found in a video on Facebook which took place in a subway car in Toronto. A middle aged lady went up to a teenage girl and said "Go back to your country". The person, Anthony Tran, started recording the scene after he heard the lady say those words. A while later she goes up to her again and says, "Go back to your country. Look like that you go to your country" right after Anthony goes in and defends the teenager. He says "You don't have the right to tell people to go back to their country" The woman shoots back and yells "I don't care! I have the right to tell you!" Anthony replies "Oh really? To go back to my country? I'm from Toronto dumba*s." Right after she goes back to the girl and asks "Who gave you that?" (referring to the cellphone she's holding). Anthony defends the girl once again and tells the lady to mind her own business. But she yells back "I don't want her to have it". Then they shoot at each other back and forth with words, and even some other people got involved and told Anthony to leave it alone, but he refused to leave a bully to continue bullying.

Because this happened in Toronto, the city I grew up in, this kinda hit me. I've never seen anything like this happen in real life. This is Toronto for gosh sakes, one of the most multicultural cities in the worlds!! I don't understand how she has the nerve to tell that girl to go back to her country. Everyone has the same amount of rights to live in Canada. I don't get what makes that lady think she's higher than everyone else and that it's okay to say those words. Canada welcomes all. And good job to Anthony for standing up for her even tho other people in the subway car told him to leave it alone. The part in all of this that confused me most was when the lady asked the teen who gave her the phone, and that she didn't want her, the teenager, to have it. Maybe she was born and raised in Toronto and was jealous that someone from a different country had more gadgets than she did. And if you watch closely in the video at 0:18, the lady did a weird thing with her hands. Maybe there was something wrong with her, or she could be straight up racist. I guess we'll never know...

People who say "go back to your country" make me sick. These people that come from other countries come for a reason. For a life that is better than what they had. Everyone deserves a good life, it isn't only reserved for people who were born into it. Why can't everyone just get along, and see each other as equals and help each other out? Why are people so greedy, selfish and think they're better then everyone? We all came into this world the same way, and we're all leaving the same way... all of our objects don't determine what happens to us in the end, the way we treat others and the way we truly are in the inside does. The difference in skin colour doesn't determine how much better one is to another. WE'RE ALL THE SAME. GROW UP AND GET OVER IT.
